You really need to open your eyes to the bigger picture here instead of just living your life trying to please your parents while your own life is destroying you. How long will it be before they are dead an you can claim your freedom? You only have one life, there is no point in wasting it trying to please others in a cult where nothing you do is ever really good enough anyway. That is such a wasted life.

i live in the u.k, was born in, fell away as an unbaptised publisher, got baptised in my 30s for reasons i'm retrospectively unsure of, and lost my faith about five years ago around the time of the original a.r.c.
now, being unable to leave is making me physically, emotionally and mentally ill.. i have been visiting this forum for a couple of years and wanted to post my first message to see if anyone has attended, heard or watched the zone visit broadcast thing happening this month?

i was talking about ' the truth' and he suggested i sounded like an apostate because i used terms like ' the society' and ' watchtower '.. i am aware that ' dubspeak ' has changed over the years and i am pretty sure that someone posted about it here but i can't find the thread.

Depending on who i'm talking to I use Witlesses, Witnesses, Jehovahs Witnesses, The Watchtower.
Under no circumstances do I use the term The Truth and depending on who is using that term to me I will correct them by saying it isn't or question them about that term to make them think about it's usage.

I was just very non committal when hassled by the COBE and wife the 1st year or 2 out, in other words I would not be cornered into saying yes or no about it then as I didnt want to fast track myself to DF.
I have been left alone for the past few years but if there is a push in my direction and as a young elder from my old hall has moved in near me it's a possibility and may get it in his thick head i am worth harassing over it, my answer will be clear this time around not to bother asking me again as I dont believe in any bible nonsense at all.
